The Cordell Cross Country teams traveled to nearby Hobart to compete in their last meet of the season before regionals. Kobi Cameron picked up the team’s only medal, placing 17th among the high school girls. Brady Reimer finished in 28th in the high school boys’ division.

The Sayre Eagles traveled to Cordell to face the Blue Devils at Homecoming 2019, in a reverse rematch of last year’s Sayre Homecoming game. After a hard-fought contest from both teams, the Eagles came out on top of the Blue Devils, 18-0.

Recreational Soccer Teams Compete In Clinton Festival

Oct. 5 was the second out of four festivals for the travelling rec teams. They played in Clinton. The U8 girls Wildcats won two more games, making them 4-0. The U8 boys Predators walked away with a win and a loss, making their season record 2-2.

Blue Devils Trounce Merritt For First Win Of Season

The Cordell Blue Devils earned their fist win of the season last week with a 42-20 road win over the Oilers of Merritt. Cordell’s defense has been stingy for the past couple of games, but in this outing the offense came out with the same intensity and the effort paid off for the Blue Devils.

The Cordell Blue Devils Cross Country team traveled to Bethany to compete in a meet Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019. Kobi Cameron finished in 21st place in the 2-mile, with a time of time of 16:17.

Cordell High School Prepares For Homecoming

It’s Homecoming Week in Cordell. Students and alumni both are preparing for the week’s festivities, culminating in the Homecoming football game against the Eagles of Sayre. The various groups are building their floats this week in preparation for judging at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Soccer League’s U6 Teams Kick Off Fall Season in Cordell

The U6 teams kicked off their season this past week. There were a lot of smiles and fun going on. The U6 teams play on Tuesdays and some Thursdays. The U8-U12 teams will play again this coming weekend, on Oct. 5, in Clinton at Acme Park. Come out and support your local youth teams!

Lady Devils Power Through Six-Game Week

The Lady Blue Devils’ softball season is drawing to a close with a just one more week on the schedule. Last week Cordell’s girls played six games with three different opponents, fighting their way to a 1-5 record for the week.
