Blue Devils Fall To Visiting Thomas, 13-0

The Cordell Blue Devils continued their tough defensive play last week against the Terriers of Thomas, but were unable to find the end zone and ended the game with their fourth loss of the young season, falling 13-0.

Cross Country Takes The Field At Walters Meet

Cordell’s cross country team took to the field at the Walters Invitational meet last week, with one high schooler and four junior high girls earning medals. Two high school boys and six junior high girls also ran for the Blue Devils.

Cordell Recreational Soccer Leagues Fire Up Fall Season

Sept. 21 was opening weekend for the travelling teams with the Cordell Rec Soccer Club. Games were held at Rader Park in Weatherford. The first game started at 8:00 a.m. and the last game started at 6:30 p.m..

Blue Devils Fall To Rush Springs In Defensive Showdown

With the majority of his injured starters back on the field, Coach Zane Trammell’s Blue Devils hosted the Redskins of Rush Springs in Cordell’s best defensive showing of the young season, but couldn’t push past the Redskins’ defense and came up on the short end of a 12-0 scoreboard.

Dear Athletic Support: Over the summer I coached my granddaughter’s 7 year-old softball team. My son works a very demanding job and I’m retired, so I decided to help out. It was a lot of fun, but with hot afternoon practices and late-night games, it was also really tough!

Lady Blue Devils Cap Busy Week At Snyder Tourney

The Cordell Lady Blue Devils had a busy week last week, ending at the Snyder Tournament Thursday evening. The girls wrapped up the six-game week on the road with a 1-5 record. The ladies started the week off at Hobart, where they dropped both games of a doubleheader, 3-15 and 0-15.

Blue Devils Fall On Road At Watonga, 45-16

The Cordell Blue Devils dropped their second game in as many weeks last Friday at Watonga. The injury beset Blue Devils went head-to-head with a big, physical Eagles team and came up on the short end of a 45-16 scoreboard.

Cordell Cross Country Runs At Riverside Meet

Cordell’s cross country runners hit the field at Riverside last Saturday, with the boys running a 5K (3.1 miles) race and the girls running 3200 meters (2 miles). Kobi Cameron finished at the top of Cordell’s girls, completing the course in 18 minutes, 17 seconds. Jayla Smith finished at 19:49.
