The Cordell Blue Devils, along with their cheerleaders and ever-faithful fans, braved cold, wet weather Friday and ventured into Hobart for a showdown with the Bearcats. The Blue Devils faced a much bigger and older team, and ended up on the short end of a 48-7 scoreboard.

Blue Devils Fall To Frederick Bombers At Home, 42-0

Despite a valiant effort in front of a packed home crowd last Thursday, the Cordell Blue Devils ended up on the short side of a lopsided scoreboard and fell to the Bombers of Frederick 42-0.

Here’s a recipe for you: Chop up some Oscar Mayer wieners, stir in Heinz ketchup, blend with Cool Whip and Maxwell House Coffee, sprinkle Planters peanuts over the mixture, add A.1. Steak Sauce, then top it with Cheez Whiz and blast it in the microwave. Sounds like a gloppy mess.

The travelling teams in U8 and U12 had a break this last weekend and will continue their break until Nov. 2. The final festival for the season will be in Weatherford on Nov. 2. The U6 have continued to play and they end their season of play this week.
