This last week has been a busy one for the Soccer Club. We worked through most of the week prepping for the Pumpkin Festival and games for this last Saturday. The kids had a blast participating in the parade as well as our booth. We sold Lemon Shake Ups, Cotton Candy, and we face painted as we do every year. Then the teams headed to Clinton for an evening of soccer under the lights. The u12 boys Cyclones are starting to bond in their team dynamic. The u12 girls Lucky Charms finally found some luck this season. They went out determined to get a win and came home with 2 wins for the weekend. The u10 girls Tigers were only able to play one game this weekend due to lack of numbers, but they were extremely greatful for a few u8 girls stepping up to help out so they could play at least one game. The u8 boys won one and lost one. The u8 girls have been unstoppable so far this season. They won their first game and was ahead on their second game when the game was called for unsportsmanlike conduct from the opposing team’s side. The teams will have a bit of a break for two weeks and will play their final week of the season on November 2nd in Weatherford. October 19th, you can find some of the Soccer Club volunteers at the Sentinel Festival. They will be selling fresh Lemon Shake Ups there this year to raise funds for club improvements. We would love to see you there!
