In Tuesday’s General Election, Washita County voters chose to re-elect Republican Kevin Stitt as Governor. As of press time, state results predicted a win for Stitt. Absentee and early voting favored Hofmeister, but election day voters tipped the scales in Stitt’s favor.

Jerry “Trigger” Havens, a 1960 graduate of Cordell High School was inducted into the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletic Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the University on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Jerry was a member of the basketball teams from 1960 to 1965.
