On 2-15-2023 Cordell Officers assisted Washita County Deputy Russell Stewart on an arrest of Ryan Nickel. A tip was submitted through 'NCMEC' Notional Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Nickel was arrested on the following complaints. Count 1-0bscene Material-buying/possessing/procuring.
Count 2-Computer Fraud/ Unlawful use of computer/system.
On 2-22-23 Cordell Officers conducted a traffic stop for expired license plate.
During the stop officers learned that the driver Brenden Sean Jackson had a suspended drivers license in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. Jackson also had multiple warrants out of state as well. Jackson was arrested for DUS, security verification violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Passenger in the vehicle Chantilly Wann was arrested for outstanding warrants in Beckham County and Custer County. Wann was also charged through Cordell Municipal Court on a violation of possession of marijuana.
On 02-15-2023.during a traffic stop Yasmine Jones provided false name and DOB to the officer. Jones was cited for interfering with a police officer. Jones was released on scene.
On 2-25-2023 a Cordell Officer observed a vehicle make an improper stop at a stop sign. The officer observed the vehicle weaving back and forth crossing traffic lines and going left of center. The driver of the vehicle made a sudden correction hitting the curb. Driver of the vehicle was identified as Gary Vassar.
Vassar was charged with aggravated DUI, improper stop, fail to maintain lane, possession of a firearm while under the influence and transporting an open container.
