THAT’S A WRAP! SPOOKY SEASON ENDS ON A FUN NOTE FOR ALL!

The Cordell Fire Department (CFD) completed yet another successful Halloween season with their notorious Haunted Morgue. Visitors from out of state, local and surrounding areas came to experience the “10/10” and “definitely worth the drive” two-story, 13 room haunted bewilderment of the season.

A Hydro woman was killed on October 18 after colliding with a tractor near Cordell. According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) the accident took place just before 8 pm Tuesday night, 1 mile east of Cordell on OK-152.

On October 13, Cordell Pre-K and Kindergarten students clambered aboard Cordell, Cloud Chief and Bessie fire trucks and spent the morning with the Cordell Fire Department (CFD) to learn about fire safety for Fire Prevention Week; knowledge that’s sure to light a spark or two.

Kamie Gossen from Corn recently placed first in the Bread Machine Category of the Senior Division at the State “Best of Wheat” Bread Baking contest held on September 25 at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her entry of Sweet Butter Bread topped the other entries in the class.
