Sept. 21 was opening weekend for the travelling teams with the Cordell Rec Soccer Club. Games were held at Rader Park in Weatherford. The first game started at 8:00 a.m. and the last game started at 6:30 p.m.. The U8 Wildcats, coached by Kyle Baker, finished the day off with two big wins against two Weatherford teams.

The U10 Tigers, coached by Tarra Harrison, also came out of this weekend undefeated against Clinton and Weatherford teams.

The U8 Predators, coached by Daltin and Lisa Holland, found success in their second game after a defeat in their first game.

The U12 Cyclones, which are a mix of U10 and U12 boys, coached by Ryder Campbell, fell short of winning against Weatherford and Elk City but had a great time!

Finally, the U12 Lucky Charms, coached by Tarra Harrison, also found no luck this weekend against two Elk City Teams.

The next round of games will be Oct. 12 at Acme Park in Clinton. All Cordell teams will play after 3:00 p.m. due to the Pumpkin Festival.

Sept. 24 marks the start of the U6 division games. All games for U6 will be played in Cordell. A small concession will be offered during games. We encourage the community to come out and enjoy an evening of soccer with these tiny players! You will find nothing cuter than a U6 soccer game!
