The Cordell Blue Devils, along with their cheerleaders and ever-faithful fans, braved cold, wet weather Friday and ventured into Hobart for a showdown with the Bearcats. The Blue Devils faced a much bigger and older team, and ended up on the short end of a 48-7 scoreboard.

Head coach Zane Trammell said his team has been fighting the same struggle they’ve faced since the season’s opening game, but gave credit to Hobart for a great game.

“First I want to give credit to Coach Allison, his staff, and team; they are a talented group that are doing the right things,” he said. “We are still struggling with the same aspects of the game that we struggled with week one, which is a direct reflection of our size and age. We are going to continue spending time in the weight room and start preparing for a really talented Mangum team. We are focussing on getting better every week, both mentally and physically.”
