Following the results of a 23andMe DNA test, a Washita County man, Cory Lyons, from Sentinel, was reunited with his 27-year-old Daughter, Kurstyn Adams, for the first time. Lyons recently completed an interview with KOCO-TV out of Oklahoma City to recall and share his experience.

OSBI investigating toddler’s death

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has taken over as the lead agency in an investigation into the death of a two-year-old child in Cordell. On December 29th, Cordell police responded to a call from a home in Cordell where a toddler was reported as not breathing.

Cordell School Board draws multiple candidates for open seats

Three candidates have filed for the unexpired term of Board Member- Seat 3 on the Cordell School Board. Daniel Kennedy, who is currently filling the position which was vacated by Mike Reimer’s resignation earlier this year, is being opposed by Parker Christian and Cole Gregg.
