The Oklahoma Home & Community Education Association of Washita County recently held their spring county council meeting. During this meeting, 2023 Award Winners and new members were recognized.

Each local club received $20 for their work and continued support of the county OHCE program.

Perfect Attendance from the Dill Work & Play Club included Emma Bingham, Lowayne Piercey, Anna Prickett, and Jane Shull. Modern Homemakers Club included Vickie Foster and Karen Turner. Willing Workers Club included Amber Hall and Becky Sharum.

New Members included Debbie Kern, Sheri Lyon, Glenda Groves, and Nickie Straub from the Modern Homemakers Club and Renee Dodson from the Willing Workers Club.

Dill Work & Play Club was awarded the Cultural Enrichment Award and The Family Issues Award.

The Heart of OHCE Award went to Lowayne Piercey and the Member of the Year Award went to Emma Bingham. Piercey and Bingham will be recognized at the West District, South Region OHCE Meeting. The beautiful awards were made by Brance Barnett, Washita County 4-Her, through his home-based business, B&B Leatherworks.

Oklahoma Home and Community Education, Inc. (OHCE) is a statewide, county-based organization that has a unique partnership with Oklahoma State University and OSU Extension. Local members seek to develop leadership skills and strengthen families in their respective communities.
