The State 4-H Council’s major fundraising event every year is the Winter Formal. Three members from the BF-DC Sr. 4-H club and 2 other members from Washita County attended the annual 4-H winter formal hosted by the State 4-H Council, in Guthrie.

Friday night and Saturday morning Braxton and Brance Barnett went to the Science Museum of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. This event is called bright nights, and it is hosted by the state 4-H STEM Specialist, Kelly Wardlaw. Brance and Braxton have attended this event for six years.

Tonight is the night! From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Cordell Methodist Church is having their yearly Groundhog Supper. Charge is $10 each. It is so good! The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a fun Shop the Blocks dowtown event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lots of sales and great food.

The Dill Work and Play OHCE met January 10, 2024 at 1:30 in the Dill City Community Center. Jane Shull opened the meeting with a welcome. Emma Bingham led the group in the Pledge to the Flag. Anna Prickett led the group singing “The Little Brown Church.

We met at the old Methodist church in Canute at 11:30. Amber Hall was the host. Several brought things to help Amber since she will be leading us, and there is so much to do starting the new year. We had a lovely lunch of chicken salad pushers and chips. Amber called the meeting to order at 12:15.
