Now that we’ve reached 2024, you might be thinking about your goals and hopes for the new year. But in addition to whatever personal resolutions you might make — volunteering, going to the gym more, learning a new language and others — why not make some financial resolutions, too?

The Community Christmas Cantata will be held at the First Baptist Church on December 10th at 5 p.m. Bring a finger food for the fellowship afterward if you want to help out. On Sunday December 10th the Children’s Christmas Program willbe held at the United Methodist Church during church service.

Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia! It has been exciting week for the BF-CD Senior 4-H Club. Evie Denny, Kathryn Sirmon and Brance Barnett went to McIntyre Law Firm with our leader Larissa Mason.

There will be Christmas in the Park on December 7th to show off our beautiful City Park! (Lee Park) Thanks to everyone who made it such a beautiful thing to see. There will be a blood drive on Tuesday Nov. 28th from noon to 5 pm at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center.

The Chamber of Commerce and the Cordell merchants are planning another Shop the Blocks from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday Nov. 18th. The cave in the Washita Theatre will be full of vendors offering unique treasures and hidden gems.

We are lucky to live in a town likeours, where the kids can go trick or treating and the parents feel free to go with them. It’s not like it used to be, though...I only had five come to my house so I went down to the square and that area was buzzing.

Everyone get ready! It’s going to be trunk or treat night downtown around the square in Cordell on Tuesday October 31st. Just load up your treats and come to the square. Hope you have a costume to wear!

Everyone get ready, it is going to be Trick or Treat night in Downtown Cordell on Tuesday Oct. 31st. Bring your treats downtown and give them out of your parked vehicle, or set up a table on the square. Everyone is invited to be a part of this Halloween treat giveaway.
