State brings free ‘Surge’ COVID-19 testing to the area

The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – in a public-private partnership with eTrue-North and state and local officials – will bring free COVID-19 testing to Oklahoma through Dec. 19.

‘God started opening some doors’

Ron Putnam’s voice is raspy, and at times, you can barely hear him. For a preacher, it’s not always the ideal situation. Then again, cancer isn’t ideal, either, and it’s Ron’s battle with cancer that left him with the raspy delivery.

COVID-19 numbers continue steady rise

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports that Washita County’s number of positive COVID-19 cases has continued to climb through the past week. The total number testing positive in the county is now 437. It was 334 a week ago, an increase of 103 over last week.
