In honor of National Rural Health Day, which was Nov 19, Cordell Memorial Hospital sponsored a coloring contest for the elementary kids, pre-K through third grade. Two winners were selected from each grade and were awarded a certificate and a Sonic gift card.

The Cordell City Council moved swiftly to enact a face mask ordinance during a special meeting Friday as COVID-19 numbers rise sharply in the city, county and across the state. In the past month, numbers in Cordell are up 89 percent and 79 percent in Washita County.
