Blue Sky Bank’s holding company, N.B.C Bancshares in Pawhuska, Inc., “Blue Sky Bank,” and First National Bank & Trust Company of Weatherford, “First National Bank,” jointly announced Thursday the anticipated merger of First National Bank into Blue Sky Bank.
Many residents of Cordell took to Facebook and other forums to express their unhappiness with their recently received electric utility bills. This matter was discussed by the City Council at their meeting Monday night.
Security camera footage captured the moment before a tractor-trailer and pickup collided on Highway 152 on the east side of Cordell. The pickup was attempting a right hand turn and the commercial vehicle passed on the right which resulted in a non-injury accident.
Washita County voters who choose to cast in-person votes will head to their polling locations for the runoff primary election on August 23rd after numerous candidates failed to secure a majority vote to win outright in the June primary election.

OSU Extension to host Wheat, Cattle and Risk Management Meeting in Cordell
Monday, August 15th , Washita County 4-Hers will be recognized for their accomplishments during the 2021-2022 school year. The awards program will be held at the Washita County Activity Center in Cordell at 6:30pm.
Early voting begins Thursday August 18th 2022 for voters in Washita County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.
