Election Day reminders and tips

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 23 rd 2022 , for the Run-Off Primary Election . Washita County Election Board Secretary, Assistant Ashton Hymer , offers these important tips to voters—especially those who will be casting a ballot for the first time.

Saturday is final swim day of summer season at Cordell pool

With the summer season coming to a close, so is the Cordell Public Pool. Saturday, August 13, will be the final day to swim for the remainder of the year. Saturday’s pool hours will be from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will be a free swim day. Free hotdogs will be served with an extra side of fun.

Washita County 4-H to hold Signup Swim Party at Cordell Pool

The beginning of the school year means it is time to sign up for 4-H! Washita County 4-H and the OSU Extension Office is sponsoring a Family Swim Party on Friday, August 12th from 6pm-8pm at the Cordell Pool. While at the pool, parents can sign their child/children up for 4-H.

Deadline for Washita County Free Fair Hay Show is Here Entries must be at the Washita County OSU Extension Center by Noon, Monday August 1st to allow for protein analysis by fair time. Five bales of hay are required to make an entry and becomes the property of Washita County Free Fair Board.
