Friday is last day of voter registration for November election

October 14th, 2022, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the November 8th, 2022 General Election and City of New Cordell Special Municipal Proposition Election, Washita County Election Board Assistant Secretary Ashton Hymer said.

Fire Department's Haunted Morgue fundraiser set to scare another year

This Saturday, Oct. 8, marks the opening night of the Cordell Fire Department’s (CFD) Haunted Morgue. Sure to cause fearfulness, this haunted morgue is a two-story, 13 room haunted bewilderment that attracts visitors from out of state, local and surrounding areas for a fun and fright filled evening.

Saturday, Oct. 1, The Pride of Cordell Marching Band traveled to Elgin, OK to compete in the Elgin Owls Southwest Showdown, a marching band contest for bands 2A through 6A. Cordell competed against 16 schools class 2A through 6A.
