On January 27th, 2023, six Cordell Elementary students attended the Circle the State with Song Honor Choir.
Circle the State with Song is a choir festival opportunity sponsored by the Oklahoma Music Educators Association that works as a great way to build the vocal program at our school.
Through students’ participation, they will become the music leaders in our choir and provide a benchmark for good choral sound.
Cordell Vocal Music Instructor Elizabeth Edge said “Cordell has not participated in CTSWS in a very long time. I am thrilled that we were able to start participating again, and hopefully we will continue to attend for years to come.”
“It was a fun filled day full of rehearsing, lots of singing, and making beautiful musical memories! Overall, there were a little over 230 students from all across Western Oklahoma participating. Our students put in a huge amount of work, coming in for after school rehearsals several times a week and practicing countless hours on their own time. I am very proud of them, and honored to say that I am their teacher.”
