LADY BLUE DEVILS WIN THE BATTLE OF WASHITA COUNTY

Cordell Junior High Blue Devils shut out the BFDC Eagles on September 18. Wind playing havoc on both teams curving the ball in mid air making it hard to determine where the ball was going. The Lady Blue Devils win the game 7-0.

#13 Tatym King celebrated her last game on Blue Devils field with a victory. The Eagles led the game in the first two innings with a large lead 4-1. Despite some controversial calls from the referees throughout the game the Blue Devils rally in the last two innings to declare victory'. Both teams played a great game lighting the wind and bad calls. The Blue Devils just wanted the victory more. It has been a pleasure watching fast pitch softball this year. Although I have plenty of other sports to watch this year I have enjoyed getting to see the ladies from Canute, BFDC, and Cordell giving it their all. They should have no regrets leaving everything out on the field. The final score of the game Cordell 8 to Eagles 6.
