Final Blue Devil football game of 2023 season cancelled

Due to multiple circumstances, the final football game scheduled for Friday, November 3, against the Walter Blue Devils has been canceled.

Cordell Blue Devils completed their season on Senior Night, Friday, October 27, against Snyder. Cordell’s head football coach, Cody Gilmore, took to social media to say, “As a coach, you have to make decisions on a daily, but this is by far one of the hardest I have had to make as a coach.”

Following football season is the beginning of Blue Devil basketball and wrestling. The first basketball game is slated for Monday, November 27, against Merrit in Cordell at 6:30 p.m. Wrestling season will start with a junior high and middle school tournament in Kingfisher, December 1-2, beginning at noon.
