Cordell kids make strong showing at wrestling tournaments

Two Cordell Elementary students showcase their talents on the mat during an exciting weekend of wrestling. Mason Hileman, wrestling for the Clinton Peewee Wrestling program, competed in the 2024 Battle of the Bears in Noble, OK, on Saturday, January 20. Hileman received Novice 8U 52 lbs Champion and placed 2nd in Open 8U 52 lbs.

Preslie Dickerson, also wrestling for the Clinton Peewee Westling program, battled her way to the top at the 2024 World of Wrestling Tulsa Nationals, where she was declared the Champion in the 6U Girls 46 lbs. Next, she will compete at Reno in April, where a win will give her the Trinity Award and qualifier for the World All-Stars team.
