Cordell High School's soccer teams endured a challenging week on the field, facing off against strong opponents and encountering setbacks in multiple matchups.

The week began with a difficult outing on Monday as both the girls' and boys' teams traveled to Cache High School. Despite their best efforts, both teams suffered heavy defeats, with the girls losing 10-0 and the boys facing a similar fate, also losing 10-0.

On Tuesday, the teams traveled to McCloud for their next round of games. The girls' team put up a spirited fight but ultimately fell short, losing 8-4. However, the match was not without its drama as some Cordell players received yellow cards. Despite the challenges, Rylee Chagollia showcased her skill on the field, scoring two goals—one from a free kick and another on her own. She also contributed with assists to McKinsey Gray and AnnRayia Harrison, who each found the net once.

Meanwhile, the boys' team faced tough opposition in McCloud, losing 5-0 despite a determined effort.

Thursday's matchups against Community Christian School proved to be another tough test for Cordell. The girls' team struggled, conceding 10 goals in the first half alone, ultimately losing by the same margin. Similarly, the boys' team found themselves trailing by 10 goals in the first half, ultimately falling short once again.

The week's results highlight the challenges faced by Cordell High School's soccer program early in the season. Despite the setbacks, the teams remain determined to learn from their experiences and improve as the season progresses.

As they regroup and prepare for upcoming matches, Cordell's soccer teams are focused on addressing their weaknesses and building upon their strengths. With dedication and perseverance, they aim to bounce back and showcase their potential on the field in the games to come.
