CANUTE TROJANETTES BATTLE THE ERICK BEARCATS

The Trojanettes battled the Bearcats in Canute on Thursday, September 7, in three volleyball games.

Canute Junior High Trojanettes played the first game. They play the best two out of three periods. The Bearcats won the first period, scoring 7 points to Trojanettes 0. The Trojanettes won the second period, scoring 25 points to Bearcats 18. The Bearcats won the third period with a score of 17-15.

The junior varsity played the second contest of the evening. The Trojanettes game is also the best two out of three periods. The Bearcats again won the first period, scoring 25 points to the Trojanettes 15. The Trojanettes strike back, winning the second period, scoring 25 points to the Bearcats 23. The Bearcats won the third period and the game, scoring 15 points to the Trojanettes 11.

The varsity high school ladies played the third game of the night. Unlike the other two games, the high school has to play the best three out of five to win the game. The Bearcats won the first period, scoring 25 points to Trojanettes 16. The Bearcats won the following two periods, winning three out of five winning the game.

The Trojanettes may have lost the games, but it wasn’t for the lack of trying. They play very well against the Bearcats; they just came up short. It was fascinating watching the games, and they put on a heck of a show.
