Wanda Florene Swart of Cordell, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 2, 2019 at the age of 96 with her loving family by her side. A lifelong resident of the Rocky-Cordell area, Florene was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Okemah, to J.V. and Elizabeth Hartley Lady.

Barbara Sue (Galloway) Fite was promoted to glory on Nov. 28, 2019, after a courageous battle. She was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Sentinel to Standley and Daphene (Brock) Galloway. Barbara graduated from her beloved Rocky High in 1963.

Edward G. Holt, 92, of Cordell, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, in Cordell. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Amanda B.P. Lockwood officiating. Burial followed at Lawnview Cemetery with Military Honors.

Jessie Marie Comack Wedel

Jessie Marie (Cormack) Wedel was born on Oct. 7, 1931, in the farmhouse she grew up in west of Jefferson, passed from this earth into her loving Savior’s hands on Nov. 25, 2019.

Funeral services for Edward G. Holt will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church of Cordell. Interment will follow at the Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m.

Funeral services for Donald David Johnson, 87 year-old Cordell resident, were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Michelle Mc-Carty and Jimmy Prickett officiating.

Rowena R. (Brady) Gilstrap longtime Sentinel resident passed from this life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Oct. 29, 2019, at age 87 in Edmond. She was born on Feb. 25, 1932, in Clinton, to Herbert Brady and Cleo Hester (Clark) Brady.

Ethel Maxine Mayes Thomas

Ethel Maxine Mayes Thomas, 93, of Cordell, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2019, at the Cordell Christian Home. She was born on April 7, 1926, to Elwin and Corine (Touchtone) Lemasters in Dill City. Ethel grew up and attended school in Dill City graduating from Dill City High School in 1944.
