The medical marijuana laws in Oklahoma got a special gift from the state legislature to commemorate the one-year anniversary of passage – updates to the statutes. The Medical Marijuana Authority is working on making the changes designated by lawmakers during the 2019 session.

The Washita County Board of Equalization voted Friday, July 19, 2019, to affirm the decision of the county assessor and deny the appeals of two corporations asking for drastic reductions in the listed fair market values of property in the county.

The Dill Work and Play OHCE met at 2:00 p.m. on July 10, 2019, for a birthday party at the Baptist Village in Cordell. The party opened with refreshments furnished by Dill Work and Play members. Jane Shull led the flag salute.

Cloud Chief FD Awarded Grain Bin Rescue Tube

The Cloud Chief Fire Department has been awarded a grain bin safety rescue tube from Nationwide Insurance. Every time farmers and grain handlers step into a grain bin to remove clumped or rotting grain, they risk their lives.
