ALEX THOMISON When someone from Alex Thomison’s life began a battle with cancer, Thomison soon had an idea of a way to help them with their struggle. A plan to host a benefit dinner to help her with current and upcoming medical bills was developed.

The Cordell Academic Foundation is ready and eager to complete its School Supply Project again this year. The School Supply Project started about six years ago with one goal in mind: To provide every school supply needed for every Cordell Elementary School student.

Wheat harvest is now underway for some Oklahoma farmers

Hot off the heels of some unexpected weather, some farmers have begun this year’s wheat harvest with promising results. This year, wheat production in Oklahoma is forecasted to be 105.3 million bushels according to a survey by the U.S.
