1958 Dill City graduates hold reunion

Claudia Gray of Cordell hosted the Third Annual 1958 Dill City Class Reunion at Shorty’s in Cordell. This is her report. This was the classes 65th anniversary.

Cordell teens graduate from Epic Charter School of Oklahoma

Ava Bernice Willingham graduated from Epic Charter School of Oklahoma at the LLoyd Noble Center in Norman on June 2, 2023. She attended Cordell Public Schools from kindergarten to grade eleven and completed her Senior year with Epic in December 2022. She plans to attend SWOSU majoring in Psychology.

Washita Theatre has new Summer hours

The Cordell Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Washita Theatre will be closed on Sundays throughout the rest of the summer. The Monday afternoon kid’s movie series will continue to run each Monday at 2:00 p.m.

Town Wide Garage Sale is next Saturday

Saturday, June 10th is the day bargain shoppers have been eagerly awaiting. Cordell Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Town Wide Garage Sale. The Chamber office will have maps showing each sale, and look for a list in the Beacon as well.

FILL ‘ER UP!

City of Cordell has officially began filling the pool as of Tuesday afternoon! The new pool manager and staff will soon begin the necessary and mandatory training. Get your pool floaties ready! The pool is pojected to be open and ready near mid June!
