Sentinel man leads Washita County Sheriff’s Deputy on chase after traffic stop

On April 1st, Deputy Richard Jones of the Washita County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop with a 2020 Lincoln SUV, later determined to be driven by Joe Thomas Jordan of Sentinel.

Community Unity Day event will offer community support

The Washita County Coalition is excited to host Community Unity Day, a special event supporting local families. This event, which includes a Community Baby Shower, Resource Fair, and Drug Take-Back initiative, will take place on April 26, 2025, at the Washita County Activity Center in Cordell.

Bob Ogle retires from Cloud Chief Fire Department after 16 years

After 16 years of dedicated service, Bob Ogle has retired from the Cloud Chief Fire Department. Bob joined the department in 2008, the same year it was established, and has been an active and committed firefighter ever since.
