The Oklahoma State Department of Health has announced that a new WIC clinic has opened in Cordell through a partnership with the Kiowa County Health Department. The clinic will be open on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. They will close for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m. and are located at 1109 N. Glenn L. English Street.
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is a nutrition education and supplemental food program for pregnant women, postpartum breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who meet program eligibility requirements.
This new clinic will provide crucial services to pregnant mothers and parents/caregivers of children under the age of five, including:
• Access to nutritious foods through monthly benefits.
• Expert breastfeeding support and resources.
• Valuable nutrition education and guidance.
• Referrals to other helpful community services. Walk-ins are welcome during the clinic’s open hours. If you would like to make an appointment or access services outside of clinic hours, you may call 580-726-3316.
