Long-term care residents have same rights as everyone

If you have a loved one that is a resident of a long-term care facility you know how important it is that you feel that they are taken care of with dignity and respect. A resident has the same rights as anyone in a nonlong term care setting would have.

Washita County 4-H announces speech contest winners

Canute 4-H hosted the Washita County 4-H Speech Contest April 24 th at the Canute Elementary School. Twenty-six 4-H members presented speeches in various divisions. Cloverbuds received a blue ribbon and a certificate.

Cordell Schools announce end of year activity dates

With the school year winding down to a close, Cordell Schools has set dates for several end of year programs and activities. May 4th at 1:00 p.m. the Cordell Elementary will present their academic awards for first through sixth grade in the school auditorium. May 4th at 9:00 a.m.

Great American Clean Up happening in Canute

KEEP OKLAHOMA BEAUTIFUL is sponsoring the Great American Clean up in Canute, OK along with CPR-Canute Preservation & Restoration and the Town of Canute on April 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM. The cleanup will be at the Canute Fire Department and the RYM.
