OSBI investigating toddler’s death

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has taken over as the lead agency in an investigation into the death of a two-year-old child in Cordell. On December 29th, Cordell police responded to a call from a home in Cordell where a toddler was reported as not breathing.

CKEnergy Electric Cooperative’s 2024 Youth Tour Contest open to student submissions

The time is now for area high school Juniors to enter CKenergy’s 2024 Washington D.C. Youth Tour contest. Perhaps CKEC’s best-known and most anticipated youth program, Youth Tour is a week-long, all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, D.C. in June of each year.

Great Bedtime Story Pajama drives receives huge donation from Cordell Schools

Mrs. Chanda Powers, Reading Specialist at Cordell Elementary, and her husband Mr.Travis Powers dropped off 413 pairs of pajamas for this year’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. That is almost twice as many as last year. Mrs. Powers began this service project when she was a first grade teacher.
