Mrs. Chanda Powers, Reading Specialist at Cordell Elementary, and her husband Mr.Travis Powers dropped off 413 pairs of pajamas for this year’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. That is almost twice as many as last year.
Mrs. Powers began this service project when she was a first grade teacher. At that time she and her class donated several pair and it has grown abundantly from there. The pajamas are delivered to the City Rescue Mission in OKC. This is Chanda and Travis’ 9th year of heading up Cordell’s pajama drive.
