Students and faculty in area high schools saw some fresh faces this week, as the Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Education sent 44 teacher candidates out on their practice teaching rotations.

Lee Gregg Wins Booster Club Reverse Lottery Fundraiser

Cordell Musicians Named To All-Region Honor Band

Seven Cordell musicians participated in this year’s All-Region Honor Band. Representing Cordell High School was Gabby Giblet. Adam Lindsey and Nate Jackson participated on behalf of Cordell Junior High, and Annie Schmidt, Jaci Graham, Marcus Hines, and Melanie Cody played for the seventh grade.

Dear Athletic Support: My daughter is in her final year of track at Tennessee Tech. Before my daughter and her class arrived, the team had never come close to a championship. Since she’s been here, the team won the 2018 indoor and outdoor championships followed by the 2019 indoor championships.
