Having taught at Cordell Schools for 17 years Darrin Taylor, also known as Coach Taylor, has shown why he was selected as this week’s Cordell Blue Devil Faculty Spotlight. Taylor plays an active role in the lives of many students in the classroom and on the field.

Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive continues for seventh year in Cordell

‘Tis the season for giving, or in this case, for donating. Reading Specialist Chanda Powers, along with the help of her students and first-grade classes, have been donating new pajamas to those less fortunate by participating in The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive.

Taylor Wilson Taylor was born September 10, 2005 in Elk city, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Brandy Loyd and Lance Wilson. Step daughter of David Loyd. She has one sister Kristyn, one brother-in-law Thomas, and two older step brothers, DJ and Steven, she also has two nephews Alaric and Jackson.

Drop-off site at Herold Mennonite Church for ‘Operation Christmas Child’ November 15-22, 2021

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 188 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories. This will be the first year that local residents will have a drop-off location right here in Washita County.

Monday was the 40th annual Bean Supper and Carnival in Cordell. The Bean Supper is the biggest county fundraiser right behind the donor drive. The funds are used to help members attend conferences and camps and provide awards at county competitions.
