4-H Impressive Dress winners announced

Sentinel 4-H hosted the 2022 Impressive Dress and Fashion Revue contest on March 29th at Sentinel Public School. The Impressive Dress Contest is to help 4-Hers learn to select garments suitable for specific occasions, to practice good grooming and posture, and to develop self-confidence and poise.

Harper Vet Services gearing up for big things ahead

An exciting relocation and expansion process is underway for Harper Veterinary Services. Harper Vet is currently located in Cordell at 120 S College St, but will soon move to 1209 N Glenn English St. However, their large animal facility, east of town, will remain at its current location.

EASTER BUNNY HOPS INTO TOWN THIS SATURDAY

Grab some-bunny and hop into the egg-citing Easter Eggstravaganza this Saturday, April 16 in Cordell at Lee Park as the Cordell Chamber of Commerce presents the 2022 Easter egg hunt. This year’s hunt is fun for all ages 7 and below.

Candidate filing period begins April 13th

Statewide election activity officially begins at 8 a.m., Wednesday, April 13th when the filing period opens, the Secretary of the Washita County Election Board Jennifer Barnette said. The filing period ends Friday, April 15th at 5 p.m.

City of Cordell issues statement on water system improvement

Much needed and highly anticipated improvements to the City of Cordell’s aging water system are finally becoming a reality. Residents may not see results any time soon, but our city employees and contractors are hard at work in the beginning stages of the project.

Pair faces possible 20 year sentence for felony charges

On March 29th officers from Cordell Police Department and the Washita County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a home located at 716 North College Street in Cordell. The residence was occupied by Ronald Ring and Amy Lemons.
