Voters urged to respond to address confirmation notices

Some voters in Washita County will receive an Address Confirmation Notice in the mail soon. Washita County Election Board Secretary Ashton Hymer said the law requires that Address Confirmation Notices be mailed to designated voters every two years. Not every voter will receive a notice.

Cordell’s new WIC clinic brings access to benefits closer

The Oklahoma State Department of Health has announced that a new WIC clinic has opened in Cordell through a partnership with the Kiowa County Health Department. The clinic will be open on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Two important marketing pieces for Cordell were recently replaced along I-40 at exit 66. The previous signs had faded and were unreadable. ODOT placed the new, bright signs that will be seen by thousands of travelers daily, directing them to Cordell’s beautiful town square.
