Lady Blue Devils JH Softball team opens season with Hennessey Hit-fest

The Cordell Lady Blue Devils JH team traveled to Hennessey this past Friday to begin the 2025 spring slowpitch softball season and take part in the Hennessey Hitfest Tournament. The girls came out swinging and played stellar defense over the four games they were participating in.

On Saturday, March 1, under the bright lights of Jim Norick Arena, surrounded by a sea of viewers, history was made as Cordell sophomore Baylor Moore became the school's first female state wrestling champion.

Moore and Brooks Lead Cordell Wrestling at Hub City Tournament

Cordell Wrestling performed well at the Clinton Hub City High School Tournament on Friday, January 31. Baylor Moore took 1st place, continuing her strong season after winning the Outstanding Wrestler award at the Greg Henning Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, January 18.

The Cordell Blue Devils show their strength during their second competition at the Bethel meet, competing against much larger schools, including 6A State Champion Choctaw, 3A, and 4A schools.

The Cordell Lady Blue Devils dominated the Cordell Classic Tournament, securing the championship title with three victories. They opened the tournament with a 55-4 win over Billings, followed by a strong 69-32 showdown against Grandfield.

Cordell Basketball Homecoming was held on Friday, January 17, 2025. Sophomore Calliy Walker was crowned 2025 Basketball Homecoming Queen, escorted by junior Jacob Vela.
