With the guidance of RSMeacham CPA’s, a new water rate plan was developed and implemented to Cordell residents beginning on July 17th after it was passed with a majority vote by City Council at their regular meeting last Monday night.

Reunion planners from the graduating classes of 1970-1979 have announced the final schedule of events for the celebrations being held this weekend, July 28th and 29th. Kicking off Friday evening is the Check-In at the Washita County Activity Center from 6 - 7 p.m.

The City of New Cordell will be picking up downed tree limbs around town starting on Monday, July 24th- weather permitting. Tree limbs must be placed at the curb and cut down to approximately 8 foot - 10 foot lengths. NO DEBRIS, GARBAGE, OR MATERIALS OTHER THAN TREE LIMBS WILL BE PICKED UP.

The City of Cordell has been approved for a grant through MODA (Midwestern Oklahoma Development Authority) for its Downtown Beautification Project. The grant amount of $25,000 must be equally matched by the city, which was approved as a budget item during the budget hearing last month.
