An EF1 tornado hit Cordell about 5:30 Tuesday afternoon. The heaviest damage is centered on the southeast part of Cordell. As of 7:30 p.m. damages are still being assessed but so far it is known that Gatlin's Garage and King-Lindsey suffered heavy destruction.
