Cordell Board of Education met in regular session Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Education Room. The meeting was called to order by board President Jeff Jaronek. Members present were Jeff Jaronek, Nocona Cook, Misty Gossen, Cole Gregg, Danielle Ivey.Cook led the board prayer.

Staff, volunteers, and residents at Cordell Nursing & Rehabilitation (formerly Cordell Christian Home) had a wonderful week of celebration during National Nursing Home Week.

Cordell Swimming Pool officially opening May 26

Sunday, May 26 will signal the start of swimming season at Cordell’s public pool. Admission will be free for the first day.Normal admission fees will be as follows: Senior Citizens (65 and older): $2.00 / day, Adults (12-64): $4.00 / day, Student (5-11): $3.00 / day, and Children 4 and under: Free.

Cordell Memorial Hospital wants to share in Cordell students’ summer vacation by providing lunch and a snack for school-aged children and teens. Meals can be picked up at CMH from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday starting May 28th and ending on August 6th.

Become a CASA volunteer and help children in need of a voice

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers are concerned citizens who are trained to be the eyes and ears of the juvenile court judge.These everyday heroes interview the children, their families and anyone who has information regarding the family.

The family of James Ivy proudly announces that James has completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering at the OU Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. Commencement was May 11th, 2024 at 7:30 pm.James is a graduate of Cordell High School, class of 2019.
