The Elk City Rodeo is going purple. On the final night of the rodeo, September 1, the rodeo will partner with the Western Oklahoma Alzheimer’s Collaborative (WOAC) to bring awareness of the disease.“Painting the rodeo purple” will be the slogan for Sun., Sept. 1.

Beginning September 1, 2024, a new law in Oklahoma, known as the Mason Treat Act (SB2035), will come into effect, drastically changing the rules around temporary paper tags on vehicles.
