Vermillion To Seek Election This Year

A third Washita County incumbent has announced her intention to file for election this fall. Lynda Vermillion, who currently serves as Clerk of the District Court, will be filing for election to the office.

4-H Impressive Dress and Fashion Revue Winners Announced

Sentinel 4-H hosted the 2020 Impressive Dress and Fashion Revue contest on February 6th at Sentinel Public School. Washita County OSU Extension 4-H Educator, Dana Church, facilitated the contest and lead a “first impressions” workshop.

Cordell FD Knocks Down Two Grass Fires

The firefighters of the Cordell Fire Department were busy last week, as two separate grass fires broke out near the city. Crews quickly beat down the blazes before any structures suffered damage, but dry and windy conditions have increased the danger in recent weeks.
