Washita County reports fourth COVID-19 related death

District 5 of the Southwest County Health Departments reported Tuesday that Washita County had its fourth COIVD-19 related death. The death was a man in the 65 and older age group. Washita County reported 886 total positive cases of COVID-19, of which 798 had recovered.

Vaccine scheduler portal available for pre-registration

OSDH announced the launch of an online COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduler Portal to notify Oklahomans when they’re eligible to receive the vaccine and provide more information on how to schedule an appointment. Oklahomans can visit this portal at vaccinate. oklahoma.gov.

Cordell schools waiting their turn at vaccine

The state’s distribution of the COVID-19 vaccination remains fairly fluid, but teachers and staff at Cordell Public schools are waiting their turn. Fifty-six employees of the district have indicated they would like to receive the vaccine, Superintendent Brad Overton said.
