Cordell Council postpones meeting

The city of New Cordell postponed its scheduled City Council meeting Tuesday night because the threat of bad weather, City Administrator JC Moser. Mayor Jerry Beech canceled the meeting, which now will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb., 22, at the Community Center, Moser said.

One injured in single-vehicle accident near Burns Flat

An Elk City man was injured Saturday night when the vehicle he was driving struck a deer standing in the road. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Villines identified the injured driver as 34-year-old Holland Fleming.
