City adopts new home-based business ordinance

After months of inaction, the Cordell City Council finally revised what it considers a home-based business. The somewhat controversial issue popped up officially before council in October of last year when the city told a Cordell resident he couldn’t sell items he made from his home.

Washita County has recorded its ninth death attributed to COVID-19, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports. The OSDH said the latest death is a male in the 65 and older age group. The total number testing positive in the county has continued to slow in the past seven days.

The State health department reported on Wednesday the ninth COVID-19 related death in Washita County. The latest death was a man in the 65-plus age group and part of 37 deaths that were reported in the state on Wednesday. The total COVID-19 related death count in Oklahoma has reached 4,264.
