After a year that has seen some students struggle with distance learning, some Washita County students displayed academic excellence despite hardships faced. Canute Public Schools had a total of 26 high-school students on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, and 16 on the Principal’s Honor Roll.

20 years ago On the week of May, 23, 2001, a car seat safety check led by Don Cannon Motors was deemed a success. Out of the 42 cars serviced only four of them had properly installed car seats, said event organizer Nikki Kuehne.
