Cordell Blue Devils had their annual pie auction to raise money for the football players and cheerleaders. No one was safe from sticky whip cream pie on their face, nose, or hair. The bidders had the opportunity to deliver much-deserved revenge from friends, family, and even community members supporting the team. Nobody was safe; not even the football coaches, the cheer coaches, and even the mascot got attacked.
Siblings vs. siblings, parents vs. children, was an all-out war. There were pies for the elementary team, the junior high, and for each grade of the high school grades. There were pies for the high school and the junior high cheerleaders. There was one pie for the football coaches, one for the cheerleader coaches, and the final for the mascot.
The football team and the cheerleaders appreciate the funds raised from this event. It shows that the community can come together and support the school and the players representing Cordell. The football team raised well over $10,000 for the football team's needs. The cheerleaders raised well over $11,000 for their needs.
