Weekly 4H Club Report

Congratulations to the Burns Flat-Dill City Sr. 4-H club president and vice-president, Kathryn Sirmon and Evie Denny, on receiving the Noble cause award.

Our club was notified they were recognized for their heart pillow service project. We are all very excited for them and proud of them for achieving this award.

As part of this project Evie Denny traveled to Stillwater for the State Parent-Volunteer Conference Marketplace. Brance was also a vendor at the Marketplace.

Our club leader, Larissa Mason, was recognized for her lifetime volunteer achievement.

Lori and Braxton Barnett also presented a class as part of the graphic design mini-seminar.

Brance Barnett, our club reporter, had the opportunity to attend the second ever Oklahoma Farm Bureau capitol camp with fellow 4-H members and also Oklahoma FFA members.

This is an opportunity for members of both programs to spend 2 days in the Oklahoma state capitol and write their own bills be members of committees, and pass legislation like the real house of representatives.

Representative Kyle Hilbert gave an inspiring speech during dinner at the Governor’s Mansion.
