The City of New Cordell Utilities Authority has renovations and improvements in progress at the water tower near the police department. The project is estimated to cost about $875,000 and is paid for in part by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality in cooperation with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
During the past two weeks residents have been interested to watch the process of draping the water tower so that sandblasting and painting can be done without causing damage to nearby structures.
